How Queen Made Boris Collapse Into Fit Of Giggles On LBC
15 March 2016, 10:58 | Updated: 16 September 2016, 11:40
This is the moment Boris Johnson collapsed into a fit of giggles live on LBC.
The Mayor was answering questions in Ask Boris when he was asked whether the Queen really did back a Brexit in the EU referendum.
Mr Johnson denied any knowledge, saying: "The most useful thing I can say... is that the Queen seems to me to be a huge fan of the Elizabeth Line, which is the name that she has graciously allowed to be used for the Crossrail line.
"That's my only recent encounter with the Queen."
But when Nick Ferrari asked him about the report that Her Majesty had thrown a wobbly when Nick Clegg espoused the positives of Europe, Mr Johnson laughed: "I have to admit I find that plausible," before being unable to stop himself giggling.
He continued: "I have to say that is a deep truth. The one thing that makes one a raging Eurosceptic is listening to Europhiles droning on about how there is nothing else we can do.
"If Her Majesty did throw a wobbly in response to a Euro sermon from the former leader of the Liberal Democrats, then I have to say, at a human level, I can understand how she felt."
