Shelagh: If Trump Followed May's Lead, We'd Call Him A Dictator

Shelagh Fogarty says that if Donald Trump behaved the way Theresa May is on Brexit, we'd call him a dictator.
"On Brexit, our Prime Minister shows little interest in parliamentary checks and balances," says Shelagh. "To me, the plan to erase parliament from the Brexit process is one of the ugliest political moves I've ever seen."
She says that even if Jeremy Corbyn fails to mount a proper counter to the government's Brexit plans, some of his MPs will - along with the Lib Dems and the SNP.
"It doesn't matter if you voted Leave or Remain, what Theresa May is doing doesn't serve you.
"Remember she's a hard Brexiteer now, who voted Remain.
"If Donald Trump put Congress and the Senate to one side like this, we'd be citing it as proof that he's a dictator."
