Former Business Secretary Vince Cable is convinced that Donald Trump won't forget that Boris Johnson said nasty things about him very recently.
The former Lib Dem MP was live in the LBC studio and wanted to remind Boris Johnson that Trump has "a very long memory and is very vindictive."
Cable was referring to the Foreign Secretary's positive statements on the incoming US President, which are in stark contrast to his December 2015 comments that Trump was "clearly out of his mind".
"He was being extraordinarily rude about Donald Trump," said Cable. "A lot of people were.
"The fact that people are doing 180-degree turns, I don't think will persuade the public - and will not persuade him!
"He's a man with a very long memory and is very vinidictive and I feel [Trump] will remember what British ministers like Boris Johnson said about him."
Cable also told Shelagh that if Trump declares "trade war" on the rest of the world, it could be "catastrophic" for Britain.
