Both Major Parties Are "Internally Seriously Divided"
12 August 2018, 12:56
The political scientist Sir John Curtice says both the Conservatives and Labour Party are "internally seriously divided".
Sir John Curtice says that internal division within the main political party's has become a problem.
He told Nigel Farage: "Any reasonable observer might think that there is good reason to doubt the ability of both of our largest parties to provide us with stable, coherent, government."
"Whether or not you voted leave or remain has very little to do with whether or not you are someone on the left, or you're someone on the right," he said.
"Our party's, Conservative and Labour, are basically set up and organised to articulate and represent that division between left and right.
"But they now find themselves faced with the division between remain and leave, and this divides their supporters."
