“You Need To Be Pulled Over By The Police!”

It’s been announced that drivers who ‘close pass’ cyclists will face prosecution and West Midlands Police have begun proceedings against 38 motorists for the offence.
Nick spoke to Martin Porter QC, who blogs as ‘The Cycling Lawyer’, about the new proposal, and Nick wasn’t too happy about waiting behind groups of cyclists on country roads. As Nick put it;
“I don't want to travel at 20 miles an hour. I don't want to travel at 20 miles an hour, I want to go at 30. And obviously my close pass, as it's known, is going to be much closer with two cyclists than it is with one.”
“You wait.” Mr Porter insisted.
“I don't want to wait!
“You need to be pulled over by the West Midlands Police and be explained a thing or two.”
