Nick Ferrari Puts His Finger On What FA Is Getting Wrong
29 September 2016, 13:36
The FA is a mess, argues Nick Ferrari, just look at the man at the top - until recently, he was in charge of biscuits!
Martin Glenn quit as CEO of United Biscuits to become CEO of the Football Assocation. In the wake of the Sam Allardyce scandal, Nick Ferrari had to ask what a man who had been in charge of Hob Nobs was the man to handle the national game.
"The bloke who runs the FA, relatively new in post, used to run United Biscuits...he was in charge of Mini Cheddars, Penguin biscuits and Hob Nobs."
Nick pointed to the former players in positions of power in cricket and rugby.
"Then look at football: we've got a man who made biscuits!"
Then Ferrari aimed his fire at the managers who have coached the England team, or as he called them: "half-wits and herberts".
