Nick Ferrari On New Crime Stats: "These Are Shocking Figures"
20 July 2018, 07:59
Nick Ferrari made his feelings clear on the latest Home Office figures which suggested 9 in 10 crimes go unpunished.
Figures released by the Home Office suggest that just 9 per cent of crime ends with suspects being charged or summonsed in England and Wales.
Nick found the statistics bleak reading: "The other way of looking at this is if you commit a crime, you have a 90% chance of getting away with it. If they're only charging 9 per cent, then 91 per cent get off scot-free. These are shocking figures."
The presenter could barely contain his despair venting: "I'm utterly convinced, that for every pound the police get, I do not believe that pound is wholly spent effectively."
