“We’ve gotcha!” Nick Has Fun With 88-Year-Old "Piano Moving" Mum
During a call about ageism in the workplace, Nick has some fund with a spokeswoman who compares her mother to a manual labourer.
Caroline Abrahams of Age UK was speaking to Nick Ferrari about discrimination in the workplace, which a government advisor has said is as bad as racism.
Nick suggested that some people in manual trades don’t want to be lugging heavy things around in their 60s and beyond. Carol used the example of her mother, who is 88 and still teaches piano, as a counter example.
It’s not exactly a physical job, but then Nick thought, maybe her elderly mum was actually moving the pianos as well.
“Does she move the pianos? Because that’s quite a lot of physical work.”
“No, definitely need a bloke to help do that.”
“Oh, that’s sexist! Oh we’ve gotcha!”
Caroline saw the funny side and Nick wished her mum many more happy years at the piano.
