Nick Ferrari told callers to stop being so angry about people wearing a burkini on the beach - saying it's just a piece of cloth.
Corsica is to ban the burkini after a fight broke out on a beach over the full-body clothing.
Nick spoke to a series of callers who felt that it should be banned in the UK, but they failed to convince him.
He asked: "How can you get angry about a piece of cloth?
"I can understand people getting angry about tax increases, rail fares, terrorism. But 'I'm so angry about a piece of cloth, I'm really cross about it', are you serious?"
Caller Frankie said that she was disappointed with the reaction of locals in Saudi Arabia when she visited and wanted to wear western clothes.
But when she called for the burkini to be banned, Nick pointed out: "Quite rightly, you are upset about the lack of tolerance in Saudi Arabia, because you want to walk around in a skirt and a t-shirt in the heat. I understand that.
"And then you exhibit the self-same intolerance to a woman in Cannes who wants to wear a burkini.
"Do you not see you're doing the same thing?"
