'How are we supposed to trust you?' Maajid Nawaz has a furious message for Theresa May over the 'snoopers charter.'
Talking on his LBC show, Maajid had this powerful message for the PM over the 'snoopers charter' which will grant intelligence agencies sweeping powers to spy on people even if they are not under any suspicion.
"With this law that you have just introduced, the most wide ranging, the most extreme levels of surveillance in the history in any democracy has just been legalised in the mother of parliaments."
"You asking us to trust you. Your asking us to trust you that you will do the right thing with these powers."
"Well how did that trust go, when it came to the non-existent weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?"
