Maajid Nawaz’s Vital Take On Choudary

This is Maajid Nawaz’s vital take on Anjem Choudary - a man who was his solicitor many years ago, during his time as an Islamic extremist.
Talking on his LBC show, Maajid spoke about his past as an extremist and how he met Choudary, who has been convicted of supporting terrorist group ISIS.
Maajid said he first met the hate preacher when he was in trouble with the law: "I was an extremist and Anjem was my man."
Maajid says that Choudary was part of group of extremely intelligent young men corrupted by extremism and Nawaz pointed to a man with a very similar background, who had risen to the heights of British society: London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
