When this LBC caller refused to described Hamas as a terrorist organisation - Maajid Nawaz was not having any of it.
Mahmoud in Barnet was unhappy that Maajid criticised Jeremy Corbyn and his frontbench - describing them as the “nasty party”.
The Labour leader previously came under fire for his willingness to share platforms with representatives of Hamas and Hezbollah as well as the IRA.
As Mahmoud tried to passionately defend the Labour leader's track record, Maajid asked: “Is Hamas a terrorist organisation?”
“What’s your proof?” The caller replied as he was repeatedly asked the same question over and over again.
On the fifth attempt to get a yes/no answer, Maajid finally had enough as he tore into the caller.
“Thank you so much Mahmoud,” he said.
“You’re calling in to defend Corbyn and you can’t even condemn Hamas an organisation that at its heart still has… a desire to wipe out all Jews from Israel.
“Not just oppose the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza - an organisation that still legitimises the random targeting of Israeli citizens including children in their schools.”
He continued: “I’ll tell you something if people supporting Corbyn and Labour can’t even agree and accept that Hamas is a terrorist organisation then you are in the nasty party”.
