Speaking about Corbyn's Labour, Maajid Nawaz said these MPs should move to the Liberal Democrats because they're "not socialists".
Maajid Nawaz was speaking about a Labour party under Jeremy Corbyn on his show this afternoon when he made a bold statement about Labour and the Liberal Democrats.
He said: "I suspect that in the northern vote, in the Labour heartland of Sunderland, in Sandhill, that vote was a protest vote against Corbyn's Labour party. That's what I suspect.
"Lets not discount also the fact that Richmond Park was recently taken by the Lib Dems with a huge 20 per cent swing from the Conservatives to the Lib Dems.
"Then if you add to that, that in 2016 was the best ever year for the council by-elections for the Lib Dems, who gained 31 seats over a 12-month period.
"My advice for moderate Labour MPs, such as Tristram Hunt, such as Jamie Reed, is you have no future in Corbyn's Labour party. There is a future for Corbyn's Labour party for socialists, but you're not socialists.
"So what I suggest you do Luciana Berger, if you're listening, Lucy Powell, Ruth Smeeth, Keir Starmer, Stella Creasy, Chuka Umunna, Hilary Benn and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.
"None of you have a future in Corbyn's Labour party because you are not socialists. What I suggest you do, all of you, is on mass, in one go, is defect to the Liberal Democrats."
