Drug And Alcohol Abuser Talks About His Struggle To Get Clean

During a conversation about drug dealing Lindsey rang in to talk about his struggles with alcohol and drug abuse.
Lindsey phoned Maajid to tell him that he believed that alcoholism was "totally an illness."
He spoke about how through his alcoholism he had been "arrested, hospitalised, assualted people, stolen things, lost jobs."
The caller said his addiction was "a physical craving combined with a total mental obsession."
Lindsey said at his worst he had to drink "half a bottle of vodka just to get out of bed in the morning."
He went on to say that he thought that alcohol was much much more "desructive" then drugs.
On alcohol he did things "that could have killed people and coud have killed myself."
Maajid wished him luck and Lindsey said he was getting the help he needed.
