The US President is disruptive, but "his boorishness is turning normally restraint people into a frenzied mob" says a member of Republicans Overseas.
"Everything he does - he could hand ice cream to children and people could say it was criminal," says Greg Swenson.
He told Maajid Nawaz that he thought people who are "normally restraint" are being turned into a "frenzied mob" by Trump's boorishness.
"He doesn't necessarily need to please his critics, he likes to please his base," he said.
Mr Swenson said: "Two wrongs don't make a right.
"The left, with the balloon, they were exercising their right to free speech, their right to protest
"I think that's great.
"I would never, ever, argue they shouldn't do it.
"It's a little silly - people are just behaving in really odd manners.
