Media Should Be Talking About Trump's Lawsuit, Says James O'Brien
21 November 2016, 11:16
This weekend, Donald Trump settled a fraud lawsuit for $25million to avoid going to court over Trump University. So why isn't the media talking about it, asks James O'Brien.
Instead, the newspapers are full of articles about Mike Pence being booed when he attended the theatre on Friday night.
James thinks they have their priorities very, very wrong.
Speaking on his LBC show, he said: "Donald Trump this weekend settled a fraud lawsuit for $25million, but very cunningly managed to distract huge amounts of attention from that by getting his knickers in a right old twist about some theatre-goers booing his mate at the theatre in New York.
"Again you just wonder sometimes whether the media of handed their noses to him and asked him just to lead them by the nose.
"What are you talking about today in America? The writer of Hamilton, a brilliant political musical about the founding fathers of America having the audacity to express a political view from the stage of his political satire, in the presence of a politician. Are we talking about that? Yep.
"Are we talking about the$25million that the President-Elect just fronted up in order to avoid going to court in a fraud case? Nope, we're not talking about that.
"God bless America."
