Chris called James to express his discontent at the Conservatives, accusing Theresa May of not living in the “real world”.
But, when James asked the LBC caller to depict what he meant by the so-called “real world”, the bleak, yet poetic description left James visibly stunned.
Chris noted: “The real world, unfortunately, is people feeling very insecure.
“People feeling frightened and basically grafting for something which they think gives them security.”
“You’re a poet, crikey”, a shocked James responded. “I wasn’t expecting you to come back at me quite so beautifully.”
Chris, who described himself as a supporter of Jeremy Corbyn, went on to explain his “frustrations”, describing the General Election on June 8th as the most “important ever”.
He added: “We have a chance to invest in the long term or otherwise, we have more fear, austerity, and public services will be ground down”.
The LBC caller was speaking as Labour launched their election manifesto on Tuesday (16th).
Speaking in Bradford, Mr Corbyn pledged to increase corporation tax from 19% to 26% - as well as a hike in income tax for those earning over £80,000.
