James Struggles With Corbyn Fan's Logic

This is the Jeremy Corbyn supporter whose logic left James O'Brien with his head in his hands.
Alex in Edgware insisted that he didn't believe the polls that said the Labour leader was the least popular party leader since Michael Foot.
That led James to conclude: "All I heard is someone saying, trust me, seriously, there are fairies at the bottom of the garden and Jeremy Corbyn is the man to catch them."
Alex had claimed that he felt the public was behind Mr Corbyn, but James responded: "You're rejecting evidence. You're saying 'My man is a winner'.
"They've compared all leaders side by side. The approval ratings that you get after nine months. They've compared David Cameron, Tony Blair, Michael Howard, Iain Duncan Smith, they've compared absolutely everybody and Corbyn knocks them all into a cocked hat."
But Alex responded: "That doesn't mean you should overplay it."
That led an exasperated James to put his head in his hands, before stating: "You say the Labour MPs are out of touch with the public. I show you what the public think and you say 'Oh no, you can't take any notice of that'."
"Where are you getting your image of what the public think from?"
Alex said: "The voters and how the voters, particularly in the north, responded to their local Labour MP. You will see that that is a potential disaster waiting to happen."
James hit back: "That doesn't mean anything. You're just saying words in a strange order."
