James O'Brien's Two Questions To Ask Brexiteers On A No-Deal Brexit
8 August 2018, 14:33
James O'Brien had these two simple questions to ask Leave voters who are backing a no-deal Brexit.
Some leading Brexiteers, such as Jacob Rees-Mogg and Liam Fox, have been talking up the prospects of leaving the European Union without a trade deal and falling back on to World Trade Organisation rules.
James O'Brien thinks that would be a disaster and has two question that he thinks would make Brexiteers look foolish.
Speaking on his LBC show, he said: "First question: Who elected the people who run the WTO? Who elected them?
"Because it's all about accountability and democracy and transparency, isn't it?
"And the second question: when did we vote to join it?
"And with those two simple, I think, rhetorical questions, you get to make a mockery once again of all the bloviating Brextremists."
