James O'Brien's Fake News Theory Came True A Lot Quicker Than Expected

James O'Brien's theory of why the US President cites "fake news" came true just hours after his show when Donald Trump sided with Vladimir Putin after their meeting in Finland yesterday.
Within hours of his show finishing, Donald Trump appeared to side with Vladimir Putin during a joint press conference after their one-on-one summit in Finland.
Journalists asked the world leaders about Russian interference as investigators believe Russian hackers and propaganda adverts interfered in the US election that took Trump to the White House.
But in their joint conference, President Trump told reporters that despite having "great confidence" in his intelligence, "I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today."
In his show yesterday, James O'Brien suggested that Donald Trump was "sowing doubt" in the media and justice systems so that when the truth about Russia emerges, it would be deniable.
But he was not expecting it to come true so soon.
"What happened there was the point of the whole fake news project," he said.
"It is clear that Donald Trump is siding with Putin over America, he needs the base to have something to stop them from going peak goldfish."
