James Poses Question For Leavers: "What Have We Taken Back Control Of?"

As the EU make clear what it wants from Brexit talks with the UK, James O'Brien runs through their position and asks: whatever happened to taking back control?

Starting by noting how few places in the media are "actually pointing out reality and facts", James looked at the key points of the EU's negotiating position ahead of the Brexit talks.

From trade to Northern Ireland to single market access, it seemed to James that the British government was already "defining our relationship with the largest trading bloc in the world entirely and exclusively on their terms.

"What have we taken back control of?

"Every single thing - no wonder they're all shouting 'Gibraltar! Gibraltar!'

"This is the polar opposite of taking back control."

For James, there are only two options now that it's clear the EU will adopt a tough tone in the Brexit talks: "to close your eyes or to admit it.

"They're not going to admit it any time soon. Oh, look, Gibraltar! Oh, look, chocolate eggs!"
