Jeremy Corbyn had ruled himself out of taking part in today’s election debate - until today, so what changed his mind?
That’s the question Iain Dale put to Labour’s shadow minister Barry Gardiner.
The Prime Minister did not take part in the leaders’ debate, instead, the Tories have been represented by Home Secretary Amber Rudd.
Mr Corbyn originally said he too would not take part - but in a surprise move seemingly changed his mind last minute.
So what caused that U-turn? Mr Gardiner said it was all down to election tactics and strategy.
