John Howard insists that Britain can make a success of Brexit - so long as the people are determined to do so.
"Do you think that Britain will make a success of Brexit?" asked Iain.
Howard - Prime Minister of Australia from 1996 to 2007 - insisted that it could.
"I think if the British people are determined to do so, they will. I've got every confidence that they will make a success of it...success means that you adjust to the inevitable disruption that's going to be involved in certain areas.
"That's now happened and I think the willingness of Britain to adopt an open attitude towards trade and to understand that the Asian-Pacific part of the world is the future of economic growth and economic development [is required]."
