During Iain Dale's Brexit Briefing, the Green Party co-leader gave her response to Nigel Farage claiming the government is "backsliding" on Brexit.
Lucas said that Farage was "perfectly willing to take a wrecking ball to the British economy" over Brexit, saying that a transitional agreement on exiting the EU could be just what UK companies need to offer some stability.
"To be against some kind of interim agreement, to protect us from a very sudden cliff edge of one minute past midnight on the day in March when we're out of the EU, that has got to be a sensible proposition for British business."
