Andrew Castle Angered By LBC Listener Who Belittles His NHS Frustrations

Andrew Castle gave a very personal anecdote explaining why he is frustrated with the NHS when an LBC listener angered him by belittling his concerns.

Andrew Castle had criticised the NHS for the way a relative was treated in hospital, and debated his frustrations with an A&E doctor.

But the LBC presenter was angered when a listener accused him of 'knowing more about A&E than an A&E doctor'.

"Who knew Andrew Castle knew more about the working of a hospital than an A&E doctor," Simon wrote in a text.

Andrew responded: "Listen Simon, I've had people in and out, and some who haven't come out, of hospitals. We've had life-threatening situations.

"There have been times in the NHS where the service has not been good enough, it has not been compassionate enough, it has not been professional enough, at times it has been negligent and inept.

"That is a fact, whether you like it or not."
