"Don't tell me that it's not damaging!" Andrew Castle says the people calling for drugs to be legalised are ignoring the harm they cause.
Talking on his LBC show, Andrew said that he people are ignoring the extremely dangerous effects that drugs have on people.
“I don't believe in the legalization of cannabis because it's no good for you. I think it does lead to addiction, I think it's a gateway drug, and I think that if you don't think that there's a link between skunk and schizophrenia I think you're burying your head in the sand and I think you're probably stoned.”
“It appears we're going the way of the United States and we're actually going to legalize this drug. You know what we wouldn't probably legalize alcohol.”
“If if we looked at all the damage it's done over the years when you when you think about the families that have been ripped apart, the people whose futures have been stolen away from them by taking drugs, be it, Alcohol dope, smoke, pot, weed, acid whatever you want to call it.”
“You know the war on these things may may be over. We may give it up but don't please tell me that it's not damaging and it's all OK because it's not all OK. I mean if you see the damage close up. I mean if you've got children. For instance I mean you might have smoked a bit of dope at university that stuff is totally different.”
“Now the skunk is unreal. I mean it's mind blowing stuff and very, very damaging. Somebody put it very nicely here taking substances it surely can't be good for you. Yeah exactly. So why legalize it? Why because we want to tax money?”
