The Green Party won their first seat in 2010 when Caroline Lucas won in Brighton Pavillion. Traditionally they are the fourth most popular party in the UK.
What they stand for: The Green Party promotes the policies of ecological sustainability, a fairer more stable economy and a more equal society.
They say they believe in a higher standard of democracy and the accountability of politicians to the communities they serve. They also believe in social justice on a global level as well as in our own country.
