Philip Hammond was the Chancellor of the Exchequer and a Conservative MP.
Born on 4th December 1955, he became MP for Runnymede and Weybridge in 1997.
He has served as Secretary of State for Transport, Defence and Foreign Secretary, before being made Chancellor when Theresa May became Prime Minister. He resigned shortly before Theresa May gave her resignation to the Queen.
Mr Hammond is married to Susan Williams-Walker and they have three children.
