Amber Rudd is a British former politician who served as Home Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Secretary of State for Work and Pensions from 2018 to 2019.
She resigned as Home Secretary over the Windrush scandal, but later returned to Cabinet under Boris Johnson as Work and Pensions Secretary.
Amber Rudd was married to Sunday Times writer AA Gill from 1990 to 1995. She is currently in a relationship with fellow Conservative MP Kwasi Kwarteng.
