The Prime Minister Boris Johnson Takes Your Calls Live On LBC
Watch again: Boris Johnson took questions from listeners live on LBC on Friday morning.
The Prime Minister was in the studio with Nick Ferrari answering any questions posed by listeners for an hour from 9am to 10am.
Listeners were given the chance to ask Mr Johnson whatever they want ahead of the general election on December 12.
The Prime Minister field questions from listeners on a range of subjects, with LBC's Nick Ferrari opening the hour by asking about his plans for the NHS.
Mr Johnson was quite blunt, saying he would walk away from talks that would risk the NHS.
Mr Johnson said: “The NHS is not for sale and under no circumstances would this government or any conservative government do anything to put the NHS up for negotiation in trade talks or privatising - anything like that.
"Were the United States or any other country to insist on that as a condition of talks, we would simply walk out.”
"It is perfectly obvious as leader of this country that if any government was to be so mad as to go down that route then they would never be elected."
The Conservative Party leader refused to be drawn on the future of Jacob Rees-Mogg after the Tory MP made controversial comments to LBC on the Grenfell Tower.
It comes over a week after the first election debate on TV in which Mr Johnson went head-to-head with Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
