9 December 2019, 19:51
Dozens of firefighters are responding to a major blaze at a block of flats in the centre of Glasgow.
75 firefighters have been called to the scene at Glasgow's Lancefield Quay. Pictures and video from the scene showed a large blaze and a plume of smoke coming from the roof of the block.
Flats on at least three floors of the building were said to be ablaze.
One witness wrote online: "Flats at the Broomielaw on the Clyde in Glasgow on fire, just looked out window to see it ablaze - seemed to go up in minutes, really hope everyone got out in time."
Barbara O'Brien wrote on Twitter: "Hopefully no one is hurt and the brave firefighters extinguish the fire without any casualties x"
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service posted online: "We are currently in attendance at a well developed fire at Glasgow’s Lancefield Quay.
"Operations Control have mobilised a number of fire appliances to the scene, where firefighters currently remain working to extinguish the fire."
