Glasgow Airport: Parts of airport evacuated after concern over cargo

Earlier on Friday passengers were evacuated from the international area of Glasgow Airport as emergency services attend an aircraft.
Images from the scene showed several fire engines as well as ambulance service vehicles.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they were at the scene.
A spokesperson said: "We are attending an incident at Glasgow Airport."
They added that it was a "police led incident".

An airport spokesperson said the airport fire service was called to attend a piece of cargo on an incoming KLM flight.
The spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to determine the content of the package."
They added that the aircraft had been cordoned off.
A spokesperson for Glasgow Airport said: “At approximately 10am today, the airport fire service attended an arriving KLM flight in response to concerns raised over a piece of cargo. The incident was stood down at 13.25 after the package was declared safe by emergency services.”
