Ex-cricketer Shane Warne hit with 12-month driving ban

Former cricketer Shane Warne has been banned from driving for 12 months after committing six speeding offences in two years.
The Australian ex-spin bowler was handed the ban and a £900 fine on Monday after admitting to the latest charge from August last year.
He was caught breaking the 40mph limit in his hired Jaguar on a slip road in Kensington, which marked the sixth time since April 2016 that he had committed a speeding offence.
It means he was also given three penalty points to add to the existing 15 points on his driving license, and was ordered to pay £1,845 of a fine and court costs.
The 50-year-old, from Little Venice in west London, did not attend Westminster Magistrates' Court to hear the verdict on Monday, but deputy district judge Adrian Turner explained the ban was "to punish and to protect the public, and to deter".
He added: "It may well be than none [of the offences] on its were particularly serious, but for points disqualification purposes, the trivality of the offences is not to be taken into account."
