Derby County footballers charged with drink driving

Two footballers have been charged with drink driving after a crash.
Derby County footballers Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett were arrested following a crash in Allestree last night.
Police said a Range Rover Sport and a Mercedes GLC collided.
Mr Bennett, 23, from Mansfield, and Mr Lawrence, of Duffield, are due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on 15 October.
25-year-old Wales international Mr Lawrence was taken to hospital as a precaution, but police say neither man was injured.
A Derby County Football Club spokesman said: "We are aware of an incident that took place on 24th September 2019."
"Because of ongoing legal proceedings, the club will not be making further comment at this time."
