Coronavirus as it happened: Boris Johnson moved to intensive care after symptoms worsened

Boris Johnson has been moved to an intensive care unit one day after being hospitalised for persistent coronavirus symptoms.

The Prime Minister was transferred to the ICU at St Thomas' Hospital around 7pm on Monday.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will deputise for him where necessary.
