Almost 100 flood warnings in place after a weekend of heavy rain

There are still almost 100 flood warnings in place across England and Wales after a weekend of heavy rain caused flooding and road closures.
Powys in South Wales was the worst affected, with nearly ten centimetres of rain in less than 24 hours.

More than four inches of rain fell in 24 hours across parts of Wales, according to the Met Office.
Firefighters in Powys had to cut short training exercises to assist with rescue operations.

At times over the weekend, there were more than 120 flood warnings in place.
On Monday morning the Environment Agency listed 93 flood warnings and 123 flood alerts.
A flood warning means flooding is expected, and immediate action is required. A flood alert is less serious and urges people to "be prepared."
