Armed officers will be inside and outside the grounds in south-west London over the next two weeks in the biggest security operation the event's ever seen.
A Police Officer has said that the Met Police have "worked in partnership with the All England Lawn Tennis Club over the course of the last year.
“To put in place a comprehensive security and policing plan.
“To make sure that people feel reassured that they will be coming into a safe area to really enjoy the championship this year.”
The officer went on to say: “we’re very experienced at policing thousands of events in London over the course of the year.
“Of course we take into account recent events in the UK and abroad when we’re planning for our events.”
