Ian Collins: Why Is Sadiq Spending £770m On Cycling?

The Mayor of London is going to spend an eye-watering amount to encourage Londoners to ditch their cars and start cycling - it's leaving Ian Collins baffled.

Adding in the millions spent by Boris Johnson on improving the capital's cycling infrastructure, Ian said: "They can't stop themselves!

"It appears that when you become the Mayor of London, somebody injects you with a crazy gene which just makes you want to spend money on bikes.

"They are obsessed with it."

In Ian's opinion, the roadworks required to make space for cyclists isn't worth the investment: "These things take years, not weeks.

"All for something that about 1% of people take part in!"
