Iain Dale finally gets the truth behind a longstanding story about Bill Clinton's team leaving the White House in a dreadful state for George W Bush's incoming team.
Ron Christie was an aide to George W Bush and Dick Cheney and as he discussed the handover from Barack Obama to Donald Trump, Iain put him on the spot.
He wanted to find out if it was true that in 2001, the handover between the teams of Bill Clinton and George W Bush was a nasty one.
Christie told Iain: "I can certainly recollect walking in on January 20th, 2001 and finding piles of trash on my floor, of having my cable cut, of having my printer cable cut, of having pornographic materials in my desk drawer, of having obscene letters written that were on my desk, of having all the Ws drilled out of my keyboards.
"To deface a building that's been up for over 100 years because your person didn't win the Presidency, I thought was beyond petty."
