London Needs Road Bridge, Not Garden Bridge: Nick

Nick Ferrari has labelled the Garden Bridge "utter lunacy", insisting that east London needs a road crossing, not a garden for luvvies.
Nick was speaking on his LBC show after LBC's Political Editor Theo Usherwood revealed that the Charities Commission is looking into the Garden Bridge Trust amid claims of financial mismanagement.
It was supposed to be Boris Johnson's legacy to London - a "floating paradise" connecting Temple with the South Bank.
But the project has been dogged by controversy and is running out of money - despite work not even beginning on it.
Nick said: "The Garden Bridge- scrap it or build it? Millions of pounds either way.
"It is extraordinary that no private business will be able to function like this. There is no way on God's good earth that that would ever be allowed to happen. Yet they spend our money like water on the bridge that with the exception of a few luvvies- and I do like Joanna Lumley I have to say but she is a bit of a luvvie isn't she- but with the exception of a few luvvies, nobody wants.
"There is a desperate need for a road bridge down that part of London on the east side as opposed to the west side. No suggestion of anything like that. But a bridge that's just going to have a garden on it that people who walk across.
"Utter lunacy."
