Speaker John Bercow says parliament will 'resume' tomorrow morning

Parliament will resume on Wednesday morning, the Speaker of the House of Commons has said, following a Supreme Court ruling that rejected Boris Johnson's decision to prorogue.
John Bercow said in a statement after the ruling that he had instructed officials to prepare for the "resumption" of parliament at 11.30am on Wednesday.
He added that Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs) - which would usually be held on a Wednesday - will not go ahead, but there would be time made for urgent and ministerial questions, and applications for emergency debates.

It comes after the 56-year-old welcomed the court's decision and said he would consult party leaders "as a matter of urgency" in order for parliament to "convene without delay".
"The judges have rejected the government's claim that closing down parliament for five weeks was merely standard practice to allow for a new Queen's Speech," he said.
"In reaching their conclusion, they have vindicated the right and duty of parliament to meet at this crucial time to scrutinise the executive and hold ministers to account."
