Two boys, 15 and two girls, 14 arrested in swoop by armed police in London

Four teenagers were arrested at gunpoint in a dramatic swoop by armed police following a high speed chase from Enfield to Loughton in Essex.
A police helicopter was deployed to oversee the chase, which saw a black Audi ploughing into stationary traffic before police descended, smashing the car’s windows and making arrests.
One police officer used his rifle to shatter the car’s passenger side window while a colleague dragged a suspect from the car.
Two boys aged 15 and two girls aged 14 were arrested.
The boys were were arrested on suspicion of aggravated taking and driving away of a vehicle.
One is being further questioned on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, while the other is being questioned on suspicion of robbery.
The two girls were arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and allowing themselves to be carried in a vehicle taken without consent.
Police said the swoop was linked to an ongoing investigation into a knifepoint robbery the previous day in north London.
No-one was injured as police made the arrests.
