A police sergeant has been accused of having sex inside a patrol car while on duty on Christmas Eve.
Sergeant Lee Cocking, 38, appeared in court today to face a charge of misconduct in public office following the alleged incident with a female.
The Avon and Somerset officer appeared before Gloucester Crown Court to face a judge for the first time but did not enter a plea.
The offence was allegedly committed in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, on December 24 2017.
Judge Ian Lawrie QC, the recorder of Gloucester, fixed a provisional trial date of 3 August 3.
He also ordered Cocking to return to court for a further hearing on March 13.
Cocking, of Cheddar, Somerset, was released on unconditional bail.
