Diane Abbott is currently the Shadow Home Secretary in Jeremy Corbyn's Shadow Cabinet.
She was the first black woman to hold a seat in the House of Commons and has been the MP for Hackney since 1987.
Ms Abbott rose to prominence in the run-up to the 2017 General Election when her LBC interview with Nick Ferrari went viral when she struggled to say how many new police officers Labour would hire if they came to power.
